Microcontrollers can be considered the “brain” behind many different types of machines. In this class, we will explore the Arduino, one of many kinds of microcontrollers, designed for beginners but robust enough for professionals. Participants will:

  • Build a basic circuit from reading a schematic

  • Upload, manipulate, and write basic Arduino programs

    • Basic programs that will:

      • Blink an LED

      • Move servos (controllable motors)

      • Use a sensor to trigger actions

Our experience will result in building a base that can later be used as a platform to build a robot.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Our shop can be a little tricky to find so we suggest giving yourself extra time for traffic and parking.

**Please wear closed-toe shoes. No sandals**
