Working with leather is fun! It is a very wonderful and forgiving (many mistakes can be corrected) medium to work in. There are several basic skills and tools one needs to know how have and use in order to be creative in this wonderful medium.

This class will introduce students to the use of certain leather crafting tools and techniques common to a great many projects, including stamps, beveler, border stamp, rivet setting and edge finishing. An introductory project will be completed by each student in two to three hours. The duration of the class is subject to the project's complexity and the student’s individual learning pace.  What you will experience as you gain competence with what you learn in the basic course is that you will want to progress and expand what you can make. Come join the fun!

The instructor has over 30 years of experience, with much of it related to horse tack, such as saddle repair, and making riding chaps and chinks. He is also open to helping with advanced projects individually, after the completion of the introductory course.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Our shop can be a little tricky to find so we suggest giving yourself extra time for traffic and parking.
