If building a face grain board doesn't quite cut it (sorry, we couldn't resist) you can take your project to the next level  in this optional extension course and convert your face grain into an end grain cutting board.

While face grain boards can last through years of use, end grain cutting boards offer the additional benefits; they last a lifetime, won't dull knife edges, and are virtually scratch resistant. This class covers additional table saw and table router techniques which will prove valuable in your future woodworking endeavors.
A $10 materials fee (in addition to the $45 materials fee for Cutting board Workshop-part 1) covers each student's consumables for this course.

Required Prerequisite: Prior completion of Cutting Board Workshop (Part 1)is required for this course. Students will use the face grain cutting boards they've built in the Cutting Board Workshop (Part 1) and convert them into end grain cutting boards.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Our shop can be a little tricky to find so we suggest giving yourself extra time for traffic and parking.
